The statutory retirement and re-employment ages will rise from 64 and 69 to 65 and 70 from 2029, a year earlier than planned, under recommendations from MOM, NTUC and SNEF that the government has fully accepted. Other measures include a new Flexi-Load Programme for part-time and fractional jobs for workers aged 50 and above, higher tax relief for working seniors and more support for lower-wage older workers, with implementation details due in the first half of 2027.
