With air quality worsening, MOH has switched on its Haze Subsidy Scheme: all Singapore citizens can use it at polyclinics, and at participating Public Health Preparedness Clinics it covers those aged 65 and above, plus Pioneer and Merdeka Generation members, CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders and others on assistance schemes. Pioneer and Merdeka Generation seniors pay no more than $5 and other eligible citizens no more than $10, so an older parent with breathing or eye trouble from the haze can be seen without worrying about the bill.
